I am an experienced and certificated Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA), Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA), and Medical Physics Expert (MPE) with over ten years of hands-on experience providing radiation protection consultancy across medical, veterinary, industrial, and commercial sectors.

My work supports organisations using ionising radiation in diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine, veterinary practice, industrial radiography, non-destructive testing, security scanning, logistics, and quality assurance environments. I provide clear, practical advice on regulatory compliance, radiation risk assessment, shielding design, equipment quality assurance, and radioactive waste management.

I advise in accordance with UK legislation including the Ionising Radiations Regulations 2017 (IRR17), the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017 (IR(ME)R17), and the Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 (EPR16), helping clients meet their statutory obligations and maintain inspection-ready compliance. I regularly support organisations through regulatory inspections, documentation reviews, and communication with enforcing authorities.

My experience includes managing complex projects such as veterinary nuclear medicine services, facility shielding design, radioactive waste management arrangements, and the transport of radioactive materials. I also deliver Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) training tailored to each sector, ensuring staff understand both their legal responsibilities and how to work safely in practice.

I am a Member of the Society for Radiological Protection (SRP) and serve on the Executive Committee of the Association of University Radiation Protection Officers (AURPO), reflecting my active involvement in the professional radiation protection community.
